Ah \*\* Atreyu, \*\* 30 didnā€™t hurt tooo much. Someone told me the other day that 30 is the new 20, so figure the whole new level of cool youā€™re attaining. Iā€™ll be 31 on the 18th, so I figure itā€™s the new 21. Woof. My b-day irony is that of 4 people who work at my job, 3 of us share that birthday. Thanks for the birthday wishes, **Flamsterette**! And happy birthday to all my fellow Oct. 15 babies! I never guessed there were so many of us. Iā€™m turning 25, which I guess is a big deal but I have no idea what Iā€™ll be doing. Given that Iā€™m currently broke and jet-lagged, I doubt Iā€™ll manage to plan anything in time, so unless my friends have something up their sleeves itā€™ll probably be another quiet birthday. Nothing wrong with that though. ---

My own history with surprise partiesā€¦ In February 2001, I planned one for my sisterā€¦ she was turning 18. Everyone kept it a secret, and when she turned up at the designated locationā€¦ the first words out of her mouth were: ā€œI am SO pissed off!ā€ In September of that same year, I turned 25. My sister planned a surprise birthday for me, but I inadvertently found out the week before the event. (one of my friends let it slip on the phoneā€¦ oops) F\_X ---
