# Time zones?

I have my timezone set to Central Time (GMT -6). However, the Boards are showing times to me in GMT -5. Why? DST doesn’t start for another month, as far as I know.

Is this happening while you’re logged on? 'Cause there was a [similar problem](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=242336) a month ago.

Yes, this is happening when I’m logged on. The only place where it gets the time zone right is the “last visited” thingy at the upper right.

I’m also in Central time and I get the correct time now.
