If this is the “eye-opener” that some people need, then so be it, but I’m not really all that comfortable having an extremist arm of a religious sect dictating what I can satirize. Of course it now appears that even though he had only recently acquired US citizenship, and had also recently traveled to an area of Pakistan known to be a haven for extremist groups, he was just a random idiot. So we got that going for us. All we have to concentrate on now is not airing any other cartoons that might piss off the coordinated non-idiots. ---

If the guy was involved in some form of training overseas months ago, this has nothing to do with South Park. The most you could potentially say is that he chose Viacom because of the South Park connection but at this point I wouldn’t assume there’s any connection. It sounds like he was always religiously conservative and may have gone whole halal after his family’s house was foreclosed on last year. ---
