I suppose “DG” which was often pronounced “Deej” could have been short for “Diedre”. I too wanted to see Glitch re-brained. I think I liked the second part best, followed by the third part, followed by the first part. I didn’t quite get how it could be both a reimagining of the original and also a sequel (since Dorothy Gale is apparently DG’s ancestor). I also would have liked a little more epilogue. Over all, I enjoyed it - it was definitely better than Sci-Fi’s usual fare, but falls short of their better stuff like Dune and The Lost Room. ---

I’m just finishing it now so I haven’y read the thread, buy I must say they have made good use of the Stargate music. I mean there is no reason for it to go to waste just because they canceled the show. ---

Wow you guys really panned it. I thought it was good. I’ll agree, I don’t think I like Zoey. I think I liked it better because I picked out what it was doing early on. When the “papey’s” werent flowers that made them sleepy, I knew they weren’t retelling the Wizard of Oz so i had no problem throwing that expectation out the window. The instant the real witch turned up I thought maybe she was the wicked witch of the North or something, but I immediately knew that “the ancients” refered to the original Wizard of Oz. Add in some cleavage monkeys and you’ve got some pretty good Sci-Fi. ---

I liked it overall, but agree Zooey was awful. Did the director really tell her to play the role that way or did the actress really not care? It’s been a long time since I’ve seen such an apathetic & ambivalent performance.
