In a _New Yorker_ profile of Tina Fey, she declined to talk about the origin of the scar, saying that her doing so in the past has upset her parents. ---

As far as I can find, all she has publicly said on the subject is that the scar is the result of a childhood injury. ---

Nevertheless, I’ve never noticed a scar on SNL, and I’ve been browsing through Google Images and Wikipedia’s pictures of Ms. Fey and still don’t see it. Can someone enlighten me as to where this scar is? ---

google may have not been very helpful as to the origin of the scar, but i had to google to find out who tina fey was… i guess i am a little out of touch on current celebrities ---

I always assumed it was a childhood injury or maybe a forceps scar, since she doesn’t talk about it because of her parents. None of my business, really. ---

BTW, **Shoshana,** her name is “Fey,” not “Fay.” I’ve seen her on SNL and in _Mean Girls_ and never noticed any scar. Is it on her face? ---

When she started it was very prominent. I think they got better at covering it up, but I still see it every once in a while. ---

It could just be that it’s such a lame injury that she doesn’t like to explain exactly how it happened. I’ve got a long, fine scar across my left cheek that more than one woman has referred to as my “dueling scar.” I’ve never actually said anything to encourage that, but I’m also pretty evasive when people ask me about it. I’d much rather leave it up to their imagination than admit that I received it from a tiny widdle white kitty when I was four years old. I just say, “I don’t remember where that one came from. I have so many.” Heh. ---
