# Tintin and Captain Haddock are gay?

Inspired by the “Watson and Holmes are gay” thread, what about that other notoriously homosexual fictional couple - Tintin and Captain Haddock?

Neither seem to be at all interested in women (one running gag is that the opera singer is interested in the Captain, which terrifies him); they seem to live together for extended periods of time … 😃

Damn! Nothing under the sun is new, I guess.

I just brought it up because of a mean joke of sorts I once played on someone.

A friend of mine was a _huge_ Tintin fan. For fun, I told him that there was actual proof that Tintin & Captain Haddock were gay - he hotly denied it; I then asked, “what do you have against homosexuals?”.

All for the fun of seeing him attempt to angrily deny that his favorite cartoon characters were gay - while at the same time tying himself into knots to explain that, really, there is noting wrong with being gay…

At which point I said, “if there is nothin wrong with being gay, why do you care so much whether Tintin is gay or not?”

[Am I not a bastard? 😃]
