Tiny Explosions In My Kitchen- Not A Gas Leak- Need Answer Fast!

I know. I only plug the space heater directly into the outlet. I only turn it on when I am in the room. If I am going to bed or leaving my apartment, I unplug just to be on the safe side.

The correct number is 8360
I am sorry for any confusion.

As far as I can tell, there is no HP printer model 8360.
There’s an 8630, which is an inkjet.

It’s a Brother, not an HP.

D’Oh!

FWIW … it should be this guy:

Yeah. Nice looking ride.

That’s it. As I said, it was a gift from a relative. He bought it a store that buys shipping containers and resells the contents. So, while legally obtained and unused, the printer came without a manual. Most functions are intuitive. I never knew I could print both sides at once though. That is awesome and would have been a real time saver.

If you go to Brother’s website, you should be able to download the manual in PDF form. I do that for everything I have in the house and keep a folder of them on my PC.

Yeah, up until just now I didn’t know I needed a manual. You plug it in. You can print in color. You can use the the little color LCD screen to do stuff. You can plug in a thumb drive and print files. I just never dreamed I could print both sides at once!

The printer model number is HL-L8360CDW. I believe the C means it’s a color printer, the D means it’s a duplex printer (able to print on both sides) and the W means it’s wireless.

Thanks. I never broke the code. Nor would I have figured out the meaning of the D.

Besides small fires and explosions, the only problem I ever had with it was that my work laptop will not recognize or connect to it. Rather than fiddling with security settings I am not authorized to fiddle with, I just e-mail any work documents that need printing to one of of my regular e-mail addresses, download it to my personal laptop and print.

Do you connect the work laptop to your corporate network? That may be why you can’t print to the printer. You might be able to connect a USB cable between them to print. Otherwise, contact corporate IT and ask them if you’re able to use a home printer.

I work from home. The only other choice is to ask a supervisor to mail me a printed copy. I no longer have faith in the postal system. None of the material I print is confidential. The last thing I printed was the new call script. All the information in that script can be read to anybody who calls in to apply or renew.

The web cam @ParallelLines generously sent arrived today, I will set it up in a minute. Thanks again!

You’re very welcome. If it works, please PM a review so I can get Bezos off my back! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Technically something else is coming as well, as a followup to the thread.
