# Tip For Carpet Installers?

I’ve got three guys putting down some new carpeting downstairs. A fairly basic job, I expect – hallway, staircase, one small room. Do I tip them when they’re through?

My dad is a carpet installer and he is always uncomfortable accepting tips. Some guys in the trade would never turn down the money, but he doesn’t consider it the type of job that merits tips.
Unless it’s cookies. 🙂
