It’s considered obnoxious here too, maybe you just had some bad luck or were at Pizza Hut or something.

I wish I could pretend it was a noble action, but in truth it was just to salve my conscience and let me rest; I have done a great many embarrassing things in my life and for all of them I seem to have perfect recall, whenever one of them pops back into my conscious thought, it is always accompanied by a groan and a grind of the teeth, hopefully this one will be different now.
