Still looking forward to this.
You can get a taste here, in the web site he lists in his profile. Let’s just hope he is a better capitalist than capitalizer.
Alright, gang, as promised. Took a full work day.

Now I’m heading over to MPSIMS to post a directly related thread.
I’ll post at least one more thread in this thread after that.
I clicked on your link, went to frangles and read this line (and then the rest of the paragraph):
“It was the fourth word of the very first line of the beginning of the beginning of the beginning of Skip’s short life as an obscure frwoa writer somewhere between the dawn of the dawn of time and seven o’clock Monday morning.”
General immediate impression: good, fun - reminds me of Douglas Adams type stuff
If it was the start of a book it would have definitely pulled me in to keep reading and see what’s up.
Here’s the MPSIMS thread I created for the above-mentioned page:
squish7 Projects (very special thread) - years-anticipated by my SD haters/fans ![]()
Because there’s material spread out across now 3 threads, here’s how I’d prefer to organize:
2014 screenwriter thread: DO NOT ADD
THIS THREAD: May continue if anyone has comments to make on any of it; I might reply more to some of it going back over it
The new MPSIMS thread linked in this post: Try to move most or all discussion about my personal creativity to that thread
This is just a plan - it may not quite work out like this.
I’m going to respond to RaftPeople’s comment just made, over on the MPSIMS thread to demonstrate how I’d prefer that discussion of the page be moved to that page.
Sorry about the confusion, this was heavily planned all things considered
Now I’m picturing a man showing up to a job interview for CEO of a company with a bloody axe in one hand and an ex-employee’s head on the other.

The thing is, if one would have a real breakthrough piece of technology they’d have to beat off investors with a stick.
It’s a cheap cop out from the crank community that the reason their brilliant, world changing inventions don’t take off is because insert ominous, shadowy organization here is suppressing it.
Got a working free energy thingamabob? Sure, Big Energy would be pissed, but every single industry that uses large amounts of power (i.e Aluminium refining) would be ringing the phone off the hook to get it before their competitors.
It doesn’t even need to be a breakthrough, just needs to generate a bit of buzz. Consider the Oculus Rift VR headset. It wasn’t a new idea but it got enough people excited to throw money at it on Kickstarter. Fast forward two years and Facebook buys it for 2 billion dollars, an amount based entirely on the excitement associated with the brand and the imagined possibilities.
Squish7, Not to be disrespectful, but only a month ago you were learning on wikipedia what XR is. So please forgive us if we’re skeptical of your claim that you have a groundbreaking idea fully fleshed out, but secret to all but “giants in the industry.”
Remember, this is a message board teeming with people who are highly intelligent, skeptical, critical thinkers, who do not swallow anything someone tries to feed them without ample evidence.
