# Tired of Columbine

Why is it that the Columbine killings are the ones the media focuses on? What about the high school kids who were killed at Puducah KY a couple years ago?

Personally, I hate all these so-called news stories about anniverseries of various events, be it Columbine or the fall of Saigon, or JFK’s assasination, or D-Day or whatever. Just because of the coincidence of the date doesn’t make it a story.

Is it just me or isn’t the function of a news-gathering organization to tell me what is going on right now? It is called NEWs, is it not?

And am I the only one who is a little suspicious of how much is going on that goes unreported while these Media Circle Jerks [tm] take up all the available space in the paper and on TV?
