My favorite Oklahoma sign was one that read: Going to Tinker?, followed by the name of a motel. The reference was to Tinker Air Force Base—I think it was an air force base. ---

I recall a big exit sign on I-40 in eastern Oklahoma that said “Tenkiller Greenleaf.” I think Tenkiller and Greenleaf are two different places, but I’ve always thought Tenkiller Greenleaf would make a great name. ---
