Female, 25, Yes. When I’m single, it goes in spurts - sometimes it’s a daily thing, sometimes not for weeks. When I’m attached, I don’t do it nearly as much, but sometimes you just need to. “Yes, NOW I can. Stupid Wellbutrin.” That reminded me of a couple years ago when I was taking Prozac. I had an erection almost ALL THE TIME, but couldn’t reach a climax no matter how long I worked at it. Very frustrating! Shame I didn’t have anyone to share it with. Didn’t do shit for the depression though. ---

That reminds me, back when I was a foolish youngster (4-5 years ago) I was into the old ecstacy scene and found that the following morning I could be at it for 90 mins + without any…ummm results. That was not fun as I was single. ☹ ---

Yes, since about 12 or 13 and a spot of instruction from a friend who’d learned it at one of England’s great educational institutions… No lube (I’m uncut), without toys or artificial aids, usually without porn. [literotica.com](http://literotica.com) has some stimulating material but I’m never entirely comfortable jerkin’ the gherkin in front of the computer. My guess is that it’s really rare not to, but a lot of people don’t like to admit it. I think it’s a great activity, myself. Stimulates the imagination, teaches self-reliance, burns calories, doesn’t cause lung cancer, beats mindless snacking, can cure a headache, relieves tension and relaxes, is cheap, usually qualifies as safe sex, can be done quickly or slowly… ---

I rarely do, probably less than 5 times a year. I often find myself more frustrated afterwards, which kind of defeats the point. I think it is because my introduction to real orgasms came from a boyfriend who believed that they should be full body experiences. The problem with masturbation is that it is a very localized activity and the rest of me is left unsatisfied. ---

28, Female Yep. It varies from two or three times a week to a couple of times a day. I’ve never used any toys. I’m sure they work well, but… Did anyone else read the book **Changing Bodies, Changing Lives** when they hit puberty? Until then I didn’t realize that females did it too, not just boys.
