# TMI - Eww! I lost two toenails in one night!

Gross. I smashed my third toe on my left foot a month or more ago. It’s been dark and purple since then.
All my toenails looked like they needed a trim, and I couldn’t afford a pedicure. i decided to trim them myself. I was focusing on my right big toe, which suffers from ingrown-toenail syndrome. Success! I got the left side (the worst side) trimmed and peeled down. Sorry, no pictures for that one. It’s minor in this story anyway.
So I’m working on the right foot. I get to the baby toe, and notice it’s all peeled back. “OMG,” I think. Gross. I keep peeling it, and it doesn’t hurt. So I peel as much as I can, and trim the rest. I have no toenail on my right pinkie! [Obligitory pic at this point.](

So of course, I get fascinated with the middle toe on my left foot. I clipped it, and the corner lifted up. I keep lifting, and it doesn’t hurt! I pulled it off, and [there was a partial nail underneath](

), with a bit of purpleness left on it. Sorry for the blurriness, and no I’m not dead, despite the odd coloring.
I don’t have any “before” pictures, because I didn’t know this was going to happen!
I’m missing not one, but two toenails! Eww.

Meh.
You should try some distance running and go for the big toes.
I usually show some restraint and refrain from posting these, but your pictures just invited competition.

(Actually, you have my sympathy. It really sucks losing toenails as a guy; I imagine the uglified toes would be even worse for a female.)
