I like my birthday. I don’t make anyone else celebrate it, but it’s kinda fun to take the day off work and have cake and champagne for breakfast. Boyfriend has his 50th coming up. He’s not celebrating, which makes life easier for me - no party to plan, no gifts to buy. I’ll get him some socks and a bottle of whiskey, bake a cake that I like and call it done. ---

The birthday boy or girl thought **the world should stop**? That’s a little dramatic. It seems maybe your special someone was being there for a family member despite wanting to be doing something else. That’s makes them a pretty nice person, as opposed to being a shitty whiner when they didn’t get their way. ---

That is insulting. It’s nothing like that. No need for a comment like that. I can easily get a “piece of ass”. Caring about someone who cares about me is a totally different thing.
