Yeah, the personality 180 with the relationship dismount. You’ve never seen it? Not that entertaining to watch BTW.

We were six months away from the wedding. Fortunately we hadn’t gotten very far in the planning, but I HAD bought a dress. Since we had not so much as removed it from the store, let alone the packaging, they took it back without argument.

I AM counting my blessings. I miss him, though.

Ray of Hope?

After my horrid flame out relationship: Keyword: “Hidden Issues Galore” I wasn’t interested in dating. My now wife had other ideas. She was right, and we have been married for 7 years. Just when you give up on love. . .

Moral of the story- Who knows? Just that you really never know. And I got a cat too!

**r\_p** , try to remember that time wounds all heels.

Stay away from that sadistic bastard and do your best to be happy. Living well is the best revenge.

Another Kristin checking in 🙂

_hugs panda_ Sorry you wasted your time on an asshole ☹ I’ll second the cat suggestion. Get a cuddly one to warm your feet at night. You can tell it ALL about what the asshole did to you, over and over again, and it will listen with absolute sympathy and agree that he should die via catscratch fever.

I personally needed a long time away from my ex-SO to heal, even though I did the breaking up. It helped both of us to cut ties for a year or so. Took far longer than the relationship itself had lasted to get over it, really.

Thanks so much for the support, everyone. I’ve pretty much resigned myself to the fact that its gonna take time; its just so odd being single. I haven’t been since I was 16 so it takes some getting used to.
I still live with my parents and we’ve got two fat kitties, but they never listen. They’d prefer not to be brought down by my problems I believe. 🙂
Ah well, as I look at it, i’ve got friends, family, and my health; the rest can fall into place at destiny’s leisure.
