I would hope that to at least some degree I’ve represented a counterpoint to the crazy-desperate douchebag contingent. In general, internet commenters are a pretty self-selected group. The douchebags always stand out. The people agreeing with the reports are mostly just going to shrug and move on with their lives. I just happen to have some free time now that the semester is over. ---

When deflategate first broke, I was pleasantly surprised to see internet commenters express a sense of say-it-ain’t-so-Joe disappointment and a sense of things being tarnished. In short order though, they all seemed to buy into a homer-driven model that the league and everyone else were just out to get the Pats. That’s been nearly exclusively what I’ve seen since.
