**Toaster52** , let us assume for a moment that the OP using the term “overweight” gets a pass. After all, it is just descriptive. We still have the problem of white trash. I would hope that you can see that calling someone an overweight whit trash bitch could easily be seen as offensive. ---

Not if she IS. Usually, people determine whether or not someone is white trash by their appearence, if they don’t know them. It’s also a VERY effective way of describing someone’s overall “look.” As the OP was doing. ---

I’m new and all…but isn’t the Pit where you are supposed to rant and rave and get out your frustration in a healthy way then log off your computer and get back to your life feeling better for doing so? If one must edit their frustration and anger, what is the point? “To the overweight, white trash bitch in the Trans Am” Uh, oh…better take out overweight. “To the white trash bitch in the Trans Am” Whoops…better try again. “To the bitch in the Trans Am” Okay…one more time… “To the person in the car who did the thing that made me mad” Just not helping deal with the frustration IMHO… YMMV 😉 ---

I suppose even though this is the Pit, the overweight white trash bitches who drive Trans Ams on this board will demand an apology regardless. Damn straight a bike is a vehicle and entitled to the road. That is why they should pay $400 per year for a license and be required to have ‘auto’ insurance. Bikes…if you are taking a lane, I hope you get dusted. I don’t want you to die or have permanent injury but I also want you off the damn road. Traffic is bad enough around here without slow moving bikes cloggin things up worse. What really gets my goat is bikes who decide they are a vehicle and take up a lane but then decide they are not a vehicle and bypass large amounts of cars at stop lights and such. All if a sudden, when they get past the stopped cars they are a vehicle again taking up a lane. Which is it? Are you a vehicle or a bike? Choose. Don’t be flipping back and forth. Heck, don’t choose. Just get the hell off the road. Hug the curb if you must be on the road but stop making rush hour worse. ---

Look: Overweight=descriptive term, could be seen as necessary if the post was, well, descriptive in nature. Same with the Trans-Am. They can help to paint the scene. White Trash=pejorative term, stereotyping a group based on perceived socio-economic shortcomings. Not necessary to use. Now wasn’t that simple? ---
