Care to define your lame-ass rant more than “these kids”? My kids (and most of the other kids in the neighborhood, with a couple notable exceptions) are very safe on the sidewalk, and moreover, it’s safer for them. But I suppose your fine with the disregard for safety practiced by an awful lot of drivers in residential neighborhoods? Tell you what, **Kong** … you get the asshole drivers to stop barrelling down my street at 35-40 miles an hour in the middle of the day, and I’ll tell my kids to not ride on the sidewalk anymore. Until then, it’s the safest place (read: the ONLY place) for them to ride, and they’ll be there if there riding, per my specific instructions that if they ride in the street they come inside. I’d rather not see them as a smear on the grille of a muscle car, but thanks for caring. :rolleyes: You and your lame rant can now kindly fuck off. ---

What **Avalonian** said, doubled and redoubled. My son will ride on the goddamn sidewalk until _I_ feel he is competent to ride on the street. I too live near a residential corridor with an ostensible 25 MPH limit. Since you reckon it’s my kid being unsafe on the sidewalk, **Kid Kong** , I’ll assume it’s you driving 40 MPH like a goddamn lunatic. It’s about courtesy. Yes, some kids don’t have it. Yes, all we parents should teach it. But if my kid is riding safely and politely on the sidewalk, and you say one fucking word to him, I’ll happily demonstrate for you how a banana seat can fit into a urethra. ---
