Today, (OK yesterday) I bought a Guitar Hero guitar and Guitar Hero Metallica for Wii. I’ve wanted it for months, I finally did it. I will rock that shit all day as soon as I get home from work. ---

It’s too early in the morning for me to have done anything yet, but yesterday I bought a strap for my guitar and started rocking out like a real man instead of just sitting on my chair all the time. It felt great, especially since I purchase non-food items _very_ rarely. ---

Not today, but yesterday - booked a week-long vacation to Iceland. I was a little reluctant because I already went to Italy for two weeks in late March, but hey, it was a great deal so I took it. ---

I took the day off work. I have an appointment with a new doctor later today, and I don’t like taking half a day off just to sit at the bus stop for an hour hoping the bus will get me there in time. So I dropped my kid off at school, came home, had breakfast, and went back to bed. Right now I’m going to feed the dogs, have lunch and get ready to leave for the doctor’s office. Hopefully I can squeeze in a couple episodes of Hetalia before I leave. ---

As a result of my decision to quit my soul sucking job and transfer to a kindler, gentler division - I got to spend the day chatting with my new “boss” while stuffing envelopes with screwdrivers. And I’ve left work at 5 o’clock ALL WEEK. I can’t express to you how amazing that has been in my life right now. And best news? He told me to not bother coming in until 11 AM tomorrow 🙂 ---

Today I went food shopping, reminding myself of how tight the budget is and how I could only spend just so much. When I got to the hot dog counter, I splurged and bought the most expensive hot dogs they had. YUM! I can be nice to me. ---
