Geez, it’s kind of hard to figure out how to cheer up as dastardly a figure as **Skald**. However, consider the following: - No one died - Nothing irrevocable has occurred. - You have identified a problem with your stepdaughter which you may be able to work on rectifying, that is, helping her have the confidence to tell people to fuck off. - Your wife may not be doing well, but she could be doing a lot worse. The worst thing for you right now is likely the helplessness - the time may come soon when you can help. Save your mojo for then. - The only person you’ve unleashed on is Kanicbird, who wants to be a martyr. Its a win/win. - Take is easy dude. Tomorrow may be better, and it is unlikely to be worse. ---

Think about this, **Skald** : you started this thread less than 12 hours ago, and you have 24 responses - that’s one every half hour - all overwhelmingly supportive, even after you insult the planet and everyone on it. And you know why? Because you are a champion, and everyone here likes you. Seriously, you are one of the greats on a board that is well above the median. The anonymous respect of internet dwellers might seem trivial compared to what’s happening off-line - because it is - but you have nonetheless earned it. I say again: you are a champion. And I’d seriously consider making that cake. It is a wonderful gesture, a great anecdote and an important message all rolled into one. Things will turn around, but sometimes they need a little prompting, and a touch of good karma here can go a long way. Oh, and that Ouji board thing was fucked up. Someone would have pitted kanicbird - you just happened to do it first. ---
