July 25, 1959 my parents were joined in matrimony. My longest relationship was three years, and a year of that was long-distance. I can’t even imagine being with the same person for 46 years. Unfortunately I can’t be with them today, and with my dad’s health problems this may be their last anniversary (although he is responding well to the chemo and radiation, it is pancreatic cancer which has a lousy one-year survival rate). ---

Sorry about your dad’s health problems **Otto**. I’ll be sure to keep him in my thoughts and prayers. My own father died just short of mom and dad’s 58th anniversary. On a positive note: Happy Anniversary to the **Otto** and **DeVena** parents! They must be doing something right. After all, they produced Dopers! 😃 ---

Congrats to your parents, and I’m sorry about your Dad. My parents were married September 1, 1952. I think it’s the bickering that keeps them together! 😛 ---

I called my parents. Mom regaled me with remeniscences (sp?) of her wedding dress (white organza with lace panels down the front, and the bridesmaids were in lavendar organza). My brother forgot their anniversary, so I called and reminded him to give them a call. I’m the good son! _I’m_ the good son! ---

YAY for your parents! And, yes, you are the good son. You little brown noser! 🙂 (I married my husand on what would have been my parents 45th wedding anniversary. Beat that in butt kissing!)
