Seems like nobody saw the F1 car race at the weekend. Now that guy was an example of surreal and unfunny. This was just weird, no more strange than I see in my own town most Friday and Saturday nights though. We have some of the most entertaining weirds around. ---

My aunt had a similar kind of inversion (I say that because the word “capsization” doesn’t look right) while on a foliage tour with a bunch of other elderly folks. She was in the restroom at the rear when the bus made a panic stop and she was throw out . . . with her pants down . . . and she couldn’t get up . . . And when she describes it she says the funniest thing was the looks on peoples faces as they veered between horror, concern, and suppressed, er, screams. She wasn’t hurt. While she’s not taking any more bus tours, she does tell this story a lot, and laughs while she’s telling it. And she started telling it when the bruises were still visible. ---

This is a bit like a comedy show in Australia at the time of the Rodney King beating. They said, “here’s the footage… ooo isn’t that tragic?..now here’s the footage again after it’s been submitted to _Funniest Home Videos_…” and the batons were making _BOING BOING BOING_ sounds. I laughed, despite myself. It _was_ kind of funny because they were taking the piss out of a shitty TV show. It was also offensive. I believe they were forced to issue an apology. I feel the same way about this thread. Yes, I can see the surreal, warped humour in it. But I wouldn’t have posted it myself. This is a actually a strangely difficult thread to consider. ---

And anything that might exascerbate their insecurity and bring their problems to the attention of everybody around them, well, not necessarily something they would enjoy telling all their friends. But then, she could very well be secure with herself, and be laughing and joking about it now. Who knows! Hoping I will always be able to get back up when I fall down. ---
