Can you call it a palindrome if it’s just numbers? Or does it have to be letters(i.e. a word)?

I always thought you could but I just looked up the meaning of palindrome and it doesn’t say that it refers to numbers just words. So my bad. Go ahead stone me, but not with that really big rock. I’m sorry. I’ll go now.

Some mathematicians use the word palindrome to refer to any sequence of characters that reads the same backwords and forwards. So fie on the dictionary, it’s a palindrome!

I’ve heard references to “palindromic numbers” in the past. I think the dictionary definition has been adopted by the math community to include cool numbers as well.

And as an added bonus, our American friends have 22 February, 2002 to look forward to. As an exceptional measure, we should be allowed to have 22 months next year.
