Well obviously Christianity isn’t the ‘religion of peace’ since you need walls to keep Christians from killing each other. ---

As I have noted before, as a Cradle Catholic I am confused because I am now a Lutheran but was raised to enjoy the thought of burning heretics. These days I have to leave such thoughts to Baptists. Muslims (I still haven’t looked–we ARE talking about them?) are those people with women whose wavy, ebony locks are so hot I shouldn’t see them, or are those Maronite Christians? Or Orthodox Jews? I get so confused,since I have always been a sucker for Mediterranean chicks. ☹ ---

The story doesn’t identify him as ANY religion, and he didn’t yell “In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ” as he was doing it. Oh yeah, he also didn’t strip an old lady naked and parade her down a street, so there’s that. ---

But in his zest to show Islam as a vile, disgusting religion, he also used a site that shows that in America, we don’t tolerate them people who belong to that religion, but are just trying to go about their lives without bothering other people. Have I mentioned that I wept when the local mission closed that showed NI kids that Cs and Ps could live together and only some of us got nostalgic, and only ironically, that the Good Ol’ Days were past? Friends, this was only a few years ago. There is hope, if only fuckheads like the OP would get with the times. ---

Since the country is 85-90% Christian and he’s from North Carolina, I’d say the odds are pretty high. ---

Seriously, there’s nothing stopping you from offering a better rebuttal, **John**. We all (those of us who are sane, anyway) know that compassionate humans of every religious tradition or tendency exist, and it’s easy to find examples. But even some people revered by a few others for their wisdom have in the past recommended to hypocrites that they look to the beam in their own eye. It seems a valid response. ---
