I suppose this could be true if you are a stupid person who does not read , or you are someone who likes to come in and pretend to not understand so as to scold and wag your finger while playing stupid. it is hard for me to think that these examples read seriously as argument that the christians are bad, contre “it is stupid to label large groups like ‘christians’ and muslims’ or the entirety of a religion for some acts” since the op provided no comment on the gross behavior of the specific egyptian cretins and only a broad bigotted slam against the entire religion, it is quite reasonable to react to that. ---

Only if you don’t understand what an analogy is. Which apparently you don’t. So I guess it has to be explained? The point is to say that just as we don’t judge Christianity in general because of the actions of some of its adherents, and we don’t punish Christians who have done nothing wrong, or castigate them, we should not be judging the hundreds of millions of Muslims who have done nothing wrong based on the actions of a few people in the news. Is that clear now? ---

FFS! Do we really need to keep a score card? And does it really matter if more Muslims committed more vile acts than Christians? No it doesn’t. The fact is, the majority of folks in both the Muslim and Christian camps just want to live their life and be left alone. I wish some folks would stop trying to make the argument that there are more “evil” Muslims then there are “evil” Christians. As if that proves some significant point. Because it doesn’t. ---

Well, I just assumed the OP meant Buddhist. So I was wondering if Chihuahua had read the same post I had yesterday, that the pilots attacking Pearl Harbor were Buddhists. Since all the Buddhists I’ve ever met were ridiculously laid-back, that did blow my mind. Now that might be worth starting a thread about. OP’s example… might not be. ---

I agree that non-Muslims in the USA are also capable of doing stupid things. But comparing two things that were maybe 1% equal seems to deflate your argument. I wouldn’t try to wave away such an atrocious act by showing that OTHER stupid people also do stupid things. ---
