And starting next year, we never mention my birthday again…(the dreaded zero is attached to the number). So far, a nice day - got some calls from Germany, my SO bought me a few fun little gifts and after I finish work, we are going out to dinner and maybe playing a few video slot machines. Having a birthday on July 15th was great as a kid - this is exactly when that new bike, or new skates/skateboard came in handy during the summer vacation from school. So, as my last officially acknowledged birthday has arrived, I wish one and all a happy day with me! And,in typical German style where the birthday person traditionally buys YOU drinks, may I encourage you all to raise your glasses and toast the day - feel free to send me the bill for your drinks!\* \*Didn’t say I would pay the bill, but feel free to send it to me. ---

And sorry I couldn’t make it, but as I mentioned - mid-terms at school is worse than finals week!
