The baseball player. Driving my friend and me nuts - she’s very pretty and I think she’s moderately famous as the sister or daughter of a movie director or a singer or some other quasi-celebrity. Can I get a little help here? Thanks. xo, C. ---

Somehow this notion of Katie Walker’s minor celebrity connection rang a bell with me too. However, all that my google-fu has managed to come up with so far is a [rumor](http://itsasecretsohush.blogspot.com/2005/12/post-away.html) that Walker cheated on her with a baseball groupie named Stephanie. Which is a completely useless contribution to the search for an answer to the OP’s question, but I offer it anyway, just for the sake of the accompanying absolutely delightful factoid that the nickname for professional-baseball groupies is “cleat chasers”. 🙂 ---

Thanks, Kimstu - so at least I’m not making this up. It’s sort of like she’s the sister of someone who knows somebody who knows a precinct captain. Pretty minor. But I’m not the only one who’s heard this. And I couldn’t get very far on the Google machine, either. But what about all the teeming millions out there? Where’s Bibliophage when we really need him? dang. ---

Their first child, daughter Riley, was born in 2001. I’ve searched newspapers for as many cities as he’s played in, and nothing about his wife or who she is/was.
