# Toddler's new best friend is a little unusual

🥰A boy and his loyal dog, no? His loyal skeleton? He goes everywhere with Bones. 💀

Just in time for Halloween. I case there’s nothing wrong with it. But I think it may be time to introduce a pet that actually breathes into the boy’s life.

We found my toddler son sitting on the couch one morning with a (unopened!) jar of vinegar next to him (carried from the pantry, apparently). We figured it was his new friend “Vinnie.”

If the pet(s) start disappearing, then it’s time to _really_ worry.

For awhile, our daughter’s favorite companion was a rubber skeleton about one foot tall that she called “Bones.” Lost interest when Bones’s leg broke off.

Especially if the kid starts asking for more and more vinegar. And a grown-up sized barrel to keep it in.
