# Toenail crud

I just want to add another “toe jam is the stuff between your toes” vote.

The stuff under your toenails doesn’t have a name, but if it did, it would be “toenail cheese”.

The preferred term is _Toenail Curd_. This is due to the frequent presence of lactobacilli in the material, and its characteristic odor. It is seen frequently in dairy workers.

Yes, I’m serious.

Every once in a while I get a mild ingrown toenail. It’s usually not serious but it’s a real bugger. If you don’t ever have that problem, then I suppose theres no issue, but the advice I have always read was not to cut your nails too short.
