# toilets

i still like the old fashioned outdoor johns…give me one of those and a sears catalog and i’m happy.

we had one when i was in the navy and stationed in the aleutians  
which was even better…it was comprised of a concrte lined ditch  
with a 10 hole bench over it …none of these stalls (they’re for sissies) …there was constant stream of water running thru it. once  
in awhile some joker would set a wad of paper on fire and float it down…he usually waited untill all the holes were in use and everybody was talking to everybody else. it was better than a hotfoot. and best of all(for u ladies) you didn’t have to touch a darned thing.

Searching the column archives for “toilets” brought up a total of 8 columns and staff reports having to do with toilets (and yes, I checked the one about black holes and it has nothing to do with toilets, so I’m not including that in the total), so I have no idea which column this is in reference to.
