Van Derbeek also was part of plot altering episodes of both my favorite sitcom AND drama! Sitcom: Dumped Robin, leading to the 1 nite stand with Barney that wrecked (for a time) his friendship with Ted Drama: Kidnapped Reid, and in the process of torturing him, got him addicted to Diludid. ---

Good for Katie. I hope she can get back into acting. I’m no film snob either\* and I’m as anti-$cientology as you can possibly imagine, but I can think of several. I hate that the man’s a cult dupe, but I really do like him as an actor. I haven’t seen everything he’s done, I’ve missed some major ones in fact (I’ve never seen Top Gun, Jerry Maguire, Born on the 4th of July, Interview with a Vampire, A Few Good Men, The Outsiders, Vanilla Sky and a few others), but of the ones I’ve seen, I thought these were good movies that he was especially good in: Risky Business The Color of Money Rain Man Magnolia (he was GREAT in this) Minority Report Collateral Tropic Thunder These might be more guilty pleasure than great movies, but I enjoyed: Far and Away The Firm War of the Worlds Eyes Wide Shut And, taking Guilty Pleasure to the extreme, Cruise is an absolute hoot as the addled, alcohol-dimmed diva in Rock of Ages. He’s hilarious, the best thing about the movie. I do like him, and I just wish he’d come to his senses and denounce that brainwashing bunch of thugs. - Ok, I am to the fella who Pitted me for being one, but he’s wrong. ---
