While others might be getting a good laugh about crazy ol’ Tom Cruise, I was filled with disgust and concern about the _true_ agenda of $cientology. They go through the program, it works for them, and they give a lot of credit to Scientology. ---

Anyone know the membership or staff (clergy?) numbers of Scientology? Income? I wonder just how wealthy and powerful they are… ---

The sad thing is that for every celebrity Scientologist you see, there are probably several middle-class or working-class Scientologists that are now more or less enslaved to the church to pay for auditing. As for why there are so many celebrities, have a look at [this](http://xenu.net/archive/celebrities/). That’s an excellent website for learning about the nastier parts of Scientology. ---

That long, insane, movie-villain laugh he does when he starts talking about SPs (suppressive persons), Holy Shit! The light in his eyes as he talks about shattering the suppression… that’s Hopkins-esque acting on the slim chance that it’s not genuine. ---

If this was all for distraction, if this was just a clever career-long stunt to get people so focused on that so that they leave him alone about other things or his family and focus only on that, it would be one of the greatest tricks ever pulled. I’m still hoping that when he gets to be about 75 and retires he pulls out all these old documents and certified letters unopened stating that what he is about to embark upon is manufactured insanity in order to create something to hide behind during his career so that he can live a somewhat normal life behind all that. That would be worth everything he subjected us to. But I highly doubt it. I can still dream, can’t I? ---

I watched that video last night and I’m confused. I recognized the words he was speaking, but not in the order that he was speaking them. Now that I’ve gotten the Scientology-to-English interpretation here, my immediate reaction is :eek: The maniacal laugh was bone-chilling and especially scary when I had no clue what he was talking about. ---

I mean, he obviously made it up, he just didn’t go on record as saying so, which after thinking about it would have been pretty stupid to tell your followers they’re basically idiots for believing a made up story. As for Charles Manson, I though HE was God- why would he study another religion? ---
