Pretty mundane.

I have an old friend who lives in Columbus and is getting a birthday present by being taken to the Tom Waits concert in Columbus tomorrow(Saturday) night.

Her son bought the tickets when they first went on sale, $80. Limit two. Not physical tickets, but you, the purchaser, have to show up at the concert with a photo ID and the credit card you used to purchase the tickets. Then you get in.

Tickets were going today on eBay for $400 or so. Legit sellers on eBay tell you that you have to meet them at the concert and enter with them.

Question: is this the trend in concerts these days? I’m truly clueless.

\*If this is better answered in Cafe Society, please move it.
