# Tomatillo help requested

One of my tomatillo plants got a bit too big for its britches in a pot (~6 feet tall), and had both of its main branches (visualize a capital Y) fold over in some strong winds yesterday. I was able to tape one (the smaller of the two) back on to a stake, but the other branch broke completely off. I jammed the stem (about the thickness of a thumb) into the pot and flooded it, but it still seems to be drooping (not surprising, I suppose). Would I be better off just putting it straight into a bucket of water? Complicating things, we’ve only got ~10 days of growing season left.

If anyone cares, I stuck the end in a big bucket of water, and it seems to have perked back up. Hooray for capillary action.

Not an expert on tomatillos but I have been able to keep cuttings alive for sometime using one of the following methods:
1. Use the pouch of stuff they give with flowers at stores - dissolve the stuff in the water you are using.
2. Use rooting hormone - many brands available from stores in most place dissolved in water
