I will point out that I live in a red state (Virginia) and I voted for Kerry, while a friend of mine lives in a blue state (New York), and voted for Bush. In fact, he lives in a blue county (Brooklyn), and voted for Bush. That’s sort of why you’re not going to see some sort of thing like the civil war. Republicans are mixed with Democrats everywhere. If it makes you feel any better, consider the Republicans. They couldn’t get a president elected from 1932 to 1952, and then again from 1960 to 1968. So, they were pretty much in the same position that the Democrats are now. They survived, though. ---

**GoBear** and **Captain Amazing** The wisecrack about Jesusland was just that - a crack. I am well aware of how diverse the States are, and was fascinated by the county-by-county breakdown during this past election; it was really interesting how the urban vs. rural demographics voted. My most recent place of residence in the US before moving to England was Seattle; very liberal. But go 10 miles East and you’ve got Bellevue and Redmond, home of Microsoft, highly conservative. 10 miles north or south, and you’re in Boeing country - same deal. But Metro Seattle’s population is roughly equal to both Bellevue and Tacoma. I don’t see Seattle breaking off and forming it’s own state anytime soon, though. For one thing, they couldn’t pay for the roads in Seattle without the taxes from the rest of the state! 🙂 I am not seriously saying that there will be a revolution or a civil war in the US in the future. I just think that things will get very ugly if the 48% of our country that didn’'t vote conservative keeps getting ignored and marginalized. Not Dems and Repubs shooting each other in the streets ugly, but I seriously doubt government will be able to get much done and I see lots and lots of protests and civil unrest in our future, much like the 60s. Now, \*\*Shodan \*\* - I am NOT a poodle ‘masturbator.’ That would pre-confirm that I have masturbated many poodles, when we all know that i have only masturbated the one, in 1960, for 20 minutes. So please do attempt to keep your insults on point, m’kay? ---
