# Tomndebb continuously singles me out in threads

I think that we can infer that that is what **ElvisL1ves** meant when he said that **mswas** was “honesty impaired.”

If “honesty impaired” gets a pass, I will have to remember to use it as a substitute.

It does not get a pass. However, by the time that **mswas** finally got around to pointing out, (in this thread), that **ElvisL1ves** had employed that phrase five days earlier on page 8, (after originally claiming that he had been repeatedly called a liar for 15 pages), I had already admonished **ElvisL1ves** for making his arguments too personal and I am not in the habit of going back days and days to chastise someone as though our bookkeeping requires that every offense be noted and recorded. Stuff gets by us, from time to time. The point of moderating these threads is to encourage enough civility to keep the threads going without falling into a flame war; it is not to hand out “tickets” for every possible offense so that we can tally them up and ban some number of posters each month. That is why [I did not initially hand out a Warning](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showpost.php?p=11035513&postcount=697) to **mswas** , merely calling attention to the rule regarding name-calling. If a particular post appears to be a violation of the rules, then calling it to our attention at the time it appears is the best way to get us to address it.
