[/QUOTE] Probably like I don’t blame vampires for anything, either–but on the rare occasions when I met people who believed in and idolized vampires, I thought they were doubly weird. Not only did they believe in something fictional, but they believed in something fictional that, if real, did not deserve to be idolized. That’s kind of my feeling toward JHVH. I don’t believe in Him, but if I did, I would not be able to consider him benevolent, any more than I consider vampires to be good role models. Daniel ---

1. **badchad** is, at best, an annoying twit, and we’d all be better off if he were no longer around. Not merely rude, he’s actively hostile and mean (and more than a little dumb). I’m really baffled as to why the mods are dragging their feet on his removal. 2. **tom** is a Catholic? Wow, he’s not kidding about keeping his personal beliefs off the boards. I’ve been here almost seven years and I had no idea. After reading dozens of (long, well-reasoned) posts by him on various religious topics, I actually had it in my head that he was an open-minded atheist. That’s really impressive, actually. ---

Serious question: Has **badchad** ever – and I mean _ever_, just once – posted on a topic besides religion? I just did a quick scoll through of his posts (skipping lots of pages), and saw three and only three kinds of posts in the past four years: – **badchad** denigrating religion and/or religious people (usually in the laziest, most obvious way possible). – **badchad** responding to pit threads about his atheistic trolling and/or stalking. – **badchad** creating pit threads about other posters who are upset with his atheistic trolling and/or stalking. I literally saw no other kind of post. Unless I missed a whole bunch of other stuff, that is insane. I don’t know Chad the person, but **badchad** the Doper is completely worthless. He’s just a sink-hole for good will and level-headed debate. If that doesn’t violate the “don’t be a jerk” rule, I don’t know what does. ---

Ya know, if the mods won’t hit the reject button, we could always engage in a little vigilante justice. Since **badchad** seems to think that whole stalking thing to drive people away is just the bomb, maybe he’s earned a dose of his own medicine. Maybe from now on, any reply to him should say simply “badchad, (Insert prefered quasi-religious entity here) loves you.” Nothing more, nothing less. **badchad** , Karana loves you. ---

He has started 18 threads. Back in Feb 2003 he started a test thread and he had a thread in May 2003 [small business profitability](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=186556) One on Atlas Shrugged, he hounded Poly for three threads: [Polycarp did you forget to take you pills?](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=226859) [Polycarp’s a fucking liar.](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=229339) [Polycarp to explain his religious inconsistencies](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=220165) and then stopped starting threads for 30 months. The biggest problem **badchad** appears to have–and it’s very well displayed in this very thread–is that he can’t seem to grasp the concept of _relevance to the topic_. He started this thread to whine about a moderator slapping him down about his irrelevant snipes at someone and he’s trying to get me to discuss my religion with him. How, pray tell, can that be even remotely relevant to his disagreement with the moderator in question? **badchad** has already been shown to be dishonest and trollish. It’s also quite clear he’s a jerk. Why, then, has he not been banned? ---
