Now you propose to reinitiate the warning/suspending/banning disciplinary cycle from the beginning? **WHY?** Sweet fancy Moses, how many chances does one asshole get? And do you honestly think you are effectively moderating when he hijacks a thread as blatantly as he did the first linked one just to snark on you _again_ and you feebly warn him, “better stop or you’ll get a time-out”? **Tom** , you know I greatly respect you, but it appears as if his hard-on for you has left you so concerned that your actions not be perceived as personally motivated, that you have allowed yourself to be rendered completely ineffective where he is concerned. **Colibri** and **Jodi** , my statement was not intended to indicate a course of protracted actions. I simply went through the normal list of actions in order. You are correct that, having recently returned from a month-long suspension for having admitted to trolling **Polycarp** , a single Warning would probably be sufficient to get him Banned. Aside from his general lack of value to the board, is there a specific post or set of posts that would have garnered anyone else a Warning? If so, report them and if the Mods agree, he will be gone. In my (general) defense against several previous comments: I cannot ban anyone. It takes the actions of multiple Moderators and a minimum of one Administrator to ban anyone other than a spammer or sock. **badchad** ’s actions in the **GD** thread do not bode well for a lengthy stay, but when I address him in a thread, I see no reason to lower myself to his level of calumny. ---

Hmmm, what can I contribute here? A bit of personal observation, perhaps. **tomndebb** is a good mod. Level headed, articulate, takes great pains to be fair. Only complaint I have is sometimes he’s a little slow to pull the trigger. **baddchad** , on the other hand, is a thoroughly unpleasant person. Brings nothing to the table other than 6th grade level shock value, and has no interest in debating anything…he just wants to smear his own poop on the cyberwalls on the Dope. I vote we keep **Tom** , and punt **badchad.** ---
