Wow, you’re right. I never thought I’s say that.

I remembered the music being so powerful and moving, so I just pulled out my 1987 CD set with Crawford and Brightman and listened to the main theme, and… wow.

Cheesy.

I don’t seem to recall all those… synthesizers. And those drums… did that come out of a Casio?

Somebody tell me they updated the score a bit in all these years!

I saw it again two years ago and the performance I saw (touring production) was _awful_. Talk about a third rate cast … and I regret to inform **June** , but the score was not updated at all. The drums sounded even worse when I was there. I could program better sounding drums in Fruity Loops.

Still has a couple of decent songs, though.

> Forgot to mention - for all of you Phantom fans, the Venetian Hotel here in Las Vegas is building a theater, with a lake on stage, and little Andy Weber is making a few tweaks in the show and a bigger, grander version will soon be performing nightly on The Strip.

OUTSTANDING!

I’ve seen POTO four times on stage, plus the movie. We go to Vegas annually for a convention and I’m looking forward to seeing it there.
