I’m surprised that they found funding for _La Cage aux Folles_ since they revived it in 2004 and it flopped. That said, I liked the selections used on the Tonys and Hodge’s unique voice adds a lot to the character. ---

Aren’t many if not most of the people performing on the show doing eight shows a week? Is hosting the Tonys that much more grueling? I mean, if we can mock those who actually did sing and dance, then the guy who worked a calculator seems like fair game. ---

Well, he’d probably been in a variety of rehearsals (as is typical for most award show hosts) throughout the week as well, so the cumulative toll it’s taken over the week would not be insignificant. ---

I just wanted to make sure you knew the guy you were mocking was the host of the show, which requires many rehearsals, as **ArchiveGuy** said, as well as singing and dancing 8 times a week as the lead in a show (which is very different from being an ensemble member). ---

Yeah, it started off as a little joke, although I’m sure I have seen harder-working hosts and the show didn’t look all that rehearsed to me. Still, he has done a lot more work than I have in the past week, so I shouldn’t put him down too much. ---
