If the financial meltdown should have taught you anything, it should have taught you that the free market does not police itself very well. In the case of potentially lethal drugs, I don’t think its a good idea to let the market work itself out by letting people die from drugs sold by a judgment-proof company. Maybe the answer is only to buy drugs from comapnies with lots of money and a solid reputation. that way only current drug companies can sell drugs. Who teh heck is going to buy drugs from a start up? ---

They control what is said after. Drug tests often last 6 weeks. You can not rely on them being safe. My brother was in the Pharm industry for 30 years. He said they pressured the government to lower the cholesterol target rate. The new numbers are practically unreachable without taking drugs. They are selling billions of dollars of very expensive and dangerous drugs. Cholesterol drugs have lots of severe side effects. Read the many pages of extremely fine print that comes with them. Read on line. ---
