# Too much air freshener. Need help ASAP

The house is on the market! My roommate left for work having made his bed and gone hog wild with the air freshener. The spray bottle he used “fabric refreshner - extra strength” I can’t breathe or wash the carpet before the showing.  
The windows are all open.  
Help!

I don’t see what you you can do other than moving as much air as you can. Open the windows & doors and place fans in strategic spots.

Plus, if you have central air, turn on the system fan. Vacuum that rug, ditching the bag between runs.

close the window, heat it up and then open the window ? the hot dry air should really have all the volatiles evaporating away fast.

And never let the roommate back in.
