That’s right. TOOL. I just got in. Was away for a few days, visiting a few friends in my old university town. Today, we drove up to Tilburg with 6 of us to attend a concert. Yeah. TOOL. That’s right. TOOL. I just saw TOOL. TOOL, dammit. They were just as good as when I saw them the first time, four years ago. Only the show was more professional, and longer, too. I’m sure I’ll elaborate in the morning, but now, the 300+ miles in the car and the concert have gotten the best of me. Coldy’s gonna crash. I saw TOOL. And they ROCKED. I just got their new CD, “Lateralus” and it’s not very good the first time around. Seems to me that they have turned into APC,( A Perfect Circle, sideband created by maynard james keenan that because wildly popular) too mellow and not much heavy about it. Just my opinion though, I could be wrong. Anybody want a TOOL cd? ---

I’m jealous Clog-Boy. I’ve wanted to see Tool since _Ænima_ came out in '96. They’re touring the US this summer with King Crimson (a proggers fantasy!), but there are no planned dates near Washington. Saw Tool on the second stage at one of those Lollapaloozas way back when. Only about 1,000 of us paying attention, and they fucking _smoked_. AEnima [sub](sorry; I don’t know how to do the cool A-E thing together)[/sub] is such an amazing album, I make it a point to ask my friends if they have it. I was going to rush out and get the new disc, but am I hearing rumblings of dissention? ---

mmmm…tool…stinkfist…dreamy… The general consensus I hear on the new album is that it’s not so much ‘bad’ as it is ‘just another tool album’. They haven’t made any strides in their music, they haven’t evolved at all…which, in my opinion, isn’t really a big deal. I thought once A Perfect Circle was formed, Tool was done, but I guess not. jarbaby ---
