For some reason, there aren’t _too_ many music threads posted in here–tis all movie and television stuff (bah!). Since music tends to be one of the only things I care about, I am curious to see what all of you like.

So, let’s see your top ten favorite albums.

A daring pick … most sources I have read prefer the US version of the album, which had a couple of ringers added. Or is it that you disqualified the US version on the basis of those changes?

I just think the original flowed better. For the US release, four great songs were taken off and replaced by one great song (White Man in Hammersmith Palais), three good songs and one, my opinion, kinda crappy song (Jail Guitar Doors). It makes for more of a “cut and paste” effect, I think.

5. Belle and Sebastian - The Boy With the Arab Strap
6. Songs: Ohia - Didn’t It Rain
7. Belle and Sebastian - If You’re Feeling Sinister
8. Wire - Chairs Missing
9. Teenage Fanclub - Songs From Northern Britain
10. Violent Femmes - Violent Femmes

If compilations counted, I’d probably have _Singles Going Steady_ by The Buzzcocks and _The Way of the Vaselines_ up there.
