Polling is closed. **Thanks again** to the Dopers who responded.

**First:** Apologies, to:
(1) _The Beatles_ (as pointed out by _Typhoon_) for mis-tabulating their results. A Day in the Life did in fact garner 8 votes instead of seven, hence, putting it in a tie for second place with Hey Jude. Note to Accounting Department: Add titles beginning with A to title list beginning with The after sorting!
(2) _Chief_ Whom I impugned when incorrectly citing him as an Aerosmith ignoramus. Mea Cupla Chief. If you’re steamed, you can post a reference to my faux pas in Ed Zotti’s announcement “Don’t falsely attribute quotes to other SDMB members.”

**Second:Results from _K364’s_ requested [Beach Boys poll from last week.](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=115792) Thanks K, it was appropriately timed, with results out the first official weekend of summer. They got a few more replies than I thought they would. Now history, we can now add it to the pile of
 [Beatles](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=114515), [Animals,](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=110522) [Tori Amos,](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=109202)[Allman Brothers,](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=107748)[& Aerosmith](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=106595) polls.
Alright, enough fanfare (or for that matter Electro-Theremin music)…here are your Beach Boys Picks: Coming in first with 14 votes…Good Vibrations
Coming in a close second with 10 votes…God Only Knows
And the Bronze goes to…Sloop John B with 9 votes.
Rounding out the tally[ul][li]8 Votes For: Wouldn’t It Be Nice? [/li][li]6 Votes For: California Girls and I Get Around [/li][li]4 Votes For: Barbara Ann / Caroline, No / Help Me Rhonda and Surfin’ USA[/li][li]3 Votes For: Don’t Worry Baby and Heroes And Villains [/li][li]2 Votes For: Kokomo[/ul]And bringing up the rear:[ul][\*] California Dreaming [/li][li] Do It Again [/li][li] Fun, Fun, Fun [/li][li] Little Deuce Coupe [/li][li] Sail On, Sailor [/li][li] Shut Down [/li][li] Surfer Girl[/li][li] Surfin Safari [/li][li] Surf’s Up [/li][li] Tears in the morning[/li][li] Till I Die [/li][li] Vege-Tables**(The lost “Smile” album version)[/ul]With**1** vote each.[/li]
**Lastly:** This weeks poll. The third of the “B” bands: **The Band** as per **Fish 42** ’s request. If you wish to include any Levon & The Hawks, The Canadian Squires or Robbie Robertson solo tracks, please feel free (But refrain from any _Basement Tapes_ selections until the Dylan poll). Once again, if you feel we’ve alphabetically passed over a band or two (with the exception of The Archies) say so…if not, next week will feature (the now twice postponed) **Jeff Beck**.

On with the poll. Here are my **6** Beach Boys picks:

1. Showdown At Big Sky (Robertson Solo)
2. The Weight
3. The Shape I’m In
4. Rag Mama Rag
5. Chest Fever, Tied for first with;
6. Somewhere Down The Crazy River (Robertson Solo)

Thanking you all in advance \*\*
