Padma was especially mean in the last 2 episodes, gunning for first Kristen then Stefan. She seems to be getting a different edit all the sudden.

So I’m guessing Brooke’s was only “Top Chef bad”, but Josie’s was “actually bad”.
Pretty sure I saw Josie in person while out today. I felt pretty bad, because it just flashed up in my head that I had nothing nice to say to her. She was pretty smiley though (and wearing a bandana).
The judges all sounded like bitches during the chicken episode. I hate it when people try to tell me there’s only one ‘right’ way to have a certain food. Maybe I don’t want thighs today, okay?
I bet we see this kid on Top Chef in 2 or 3 years. He’s working some now with a chef thats training/helping him.
I wish we saw this passion for creative cooking on Top Chef. I’m sure some of the chefs on the show have it. The show’s format just rushes the cooking so much that the passion for cooking gets lost.
He’s studying the right book. The French Laundry by Thomas Keller is one of the cookbooks all modern chefs learn from.
Sheldon has started griping about cooking “his food”. That always bugs me. The point of Top Chef is to cook outside your comfort zone. Josh is always cooking bacon. A lot of times he’s served a breakfast dish to the judges.
Tom’s blog made me feel better with the elimination. The edits are often misleading.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Kristen wins this season.
Do they only make the Last Chance Kitchen episodes available right after the show? I’m never able to figure out how to watch them and it gets spoilered on the site in the comments section. I wanted to see the Kristin/Stefan episode.

Provided she makes it back I would agree. I think Brooke has a shot at it as well. Sheldon would be the next likely after those two.
And speaking of Sheldon - lay off the fricking tempura already. Maybe he can make it work in his own restaurant but it has been a giant fail for him every time on this competition.

One of the judges (I think it was Tom) commented during the episode on the tempura sitting around for a while before being served. Maybe the constraints of the show make it hard to get the timing right. I think Colicchio said something similar about risotto in one of his blogs.
One of the other judges had it right – they need to pick dishes they can execute well within the constraints of the show.
Some great lines in tonight’s episode.
Josh: Get your bread bakin’ face on.
Brooke: I’m not putting bacon in my bread! You can do that.
Tom Colicchio (of the bears): That’s my fanbase.
They telegraphed the elimination by focusing much more on the doomed contestant throughout the episode than they’ve done before.
I would add:
Padma: Sheldon, what type of salmon did you use?
Sheldon: Uh..sockeye and chum.
Padma: The locals use chum to feed the dogs.
Frankly, those are some pretty well fed dogs, if that is in fact true.
Another reason Padma can fuck off as far as I’m concerned. It may be the edit, but she has really been nasty this season about some very petty things.
Sheldon should have just nodded and said “Yes. I know”.
Sheldon after the exchange was done “Damn…I should’ve said that’s why I used it. To let an underutilized ingredient shine!” You always think of your comeback when it’s too late.

I noticed a drop in Lizzie’s energy a few episodes ago. She just wasn’t trying as hard the last few challenges. I guess it was time for her to go.
Brooke’s the one left that I really like. But, the judges have favored Sheldon all season. He may be the one that wins. We’ll see.
I think there is only 2 more episodes?? Or maybe 3?? not sure.
