My list, of course, starts with Monty:

Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Young Frankenstein
A Fish Called Wanda
The Gold Rush
And finally, I’m torn between which Marx Bros. movie to pick. Duck Soup, A Day at the Races, A Night at the Opera, etc. Insert your favorite here.

You can email, **TubaDiva** and ask her to change it. Your name will change, but post count and everything else stays the same. Don’t change it on your own though, email an admin and ask them to do it for you.

Seems like the rest of the Dopers have the same taste as me; with one exception, all the movies I would have picked in my Top Ten have already been mentioned in this thread.

The exception: _Women on the Edge of a Nervous Breakdown_ by Pedro Almodovar. I’m not even sure how to describe the movie, only that everyone needs to see it at least once.

Okay, this is waaaaaay too hard to do, but I’ll do it by one’s I remember. Please excuse groupings of movies, not just specific titles, because I have so many favorites.

No Order At All:
1.The Jersey Movies (Clerks, Mallrats, etc. I know there’s 4, shut up!)
2.Bottle Rocket (This movie made me decide I wanted to be a robber, even if just for fun.)
3.Canadian Bacon (As if I don’t make enough fun of canada…)
4.Raising Arizona
5. Every single Mel Brooks movie ever made.

It’s all classic. Please excuse me leaving off some obvious choices.

1 **The Villain** (this was probably the first comedy i ever saw, my Grandpa showed it to me before i was even in kindergarten and its still hilarious to this day. “Whats your name?/Handsome Stranger, i was named after my father./He mustve been a wonderful man./I dont know i never met him”)

2 **Mallrats** Well, i couldn’t pick _all_ of Big Kev’s movies for a list of 5 but as any true Kevin Smith fan can tell you, 'Rats is the only movie he ever made that was worth a shit anyway 😃

3 **Spaceballs** No explanation needed.

4 **BASEketball** I almost hate to pick this one because im a HUGE Trey/Matt fan and this was the one movie they were in that they didn’t actually write but they did do ALOT of improv on the set and since this was a David Zucker movie i dont have to save a spot on my list for Airplane 😃

5 **Don’t Be a Menace…** almost everyone i know hates this movie. I’ve seen it over 100 times, i had it on tape and now i have it on dvd. i love it i love it i love it. If you dont like it, chances are you dont _get it_. If you’ve seen it and didnt like it, (re)watch all the early/mid nineties ‘hood’ movies and then watch it again.

ok i gotta do 6…

**The Stoned Age** You either get it or you dont…I can recite this entire movie word by word, its absolutely great, i doubt very many people have ever seen a single movie as many times as ive seen this movie, i dont think i would be stretching it to say ive seen it 300+ times.

In order:

**A Fish Called Wanda
Airplane!
Animal House
Some Like it Hot
Wayne’s World 2**]

I know I stand alone on that last one, but it gets me every time: “I crossed all the t’s and dotted all the…lower-case j’s.”

Or to put it another way:

Zucker/Abrahams/Zucker: 26
Mel Brooks: 12
Marx Bros: 9
Monty Python: 9

Veering off tangentially, are Hot Shots 1&deux Z/A/Z? I should’ve listed Hot Shots part Deux on my original list; on the basis of the scenes with Rowan Atkinson as the captive (“they’ve…tied my shoelaces together.” “the bastards”) alone.

I’m also surprised that Woody Allen didn’t get more mentions. His stuff in the 70s (TtMaR, Bananas, Sleeper, Play it Again Sam, Love and Death, Annie Hall) was hilarious.

I’ll add “Quick Change”, a movie no one seems to have heard of despite the incredible cast of Bill Murray, Geena Davis and Randy Quaid in his best role ever. I’ll also add with no hesitation “Peewee’s Big Adventure”. The Large Marge scene made me laugh harder than any movie before it.
