You have to also remember that a lot of Top Gear is actually heavily scripted. About 99.9% of what appears to happen spontaneously is actually pre-planned. ---

Can someone explain to me what Top Gear is actually about? I mean, I’ve watched a few episodes, but I don’t understand it. As near as I can tell: 1. There are two semi-moronic English guys who are into cars. 2. They have an audience. 3. The audience doesn’t have chairs. ---

In my opinion, the funniest episodes are the ones where they have some sort of bizarre challenge that they have to compete such as the one where they try to use a Reliant Robin as a space shuttle and they launch it with predictable results. The travel episodes can be funny such as the one where they drive across Bolivia. ---
