I get the 60s British Invasion Playlist part, but what the heck does Gear, Fab mean?

In the movie A Hard Day’s Night British record producers are spoofed, and when one of them talks to the Beatles or other young people he always adds “Gear, Fab” at the end of each sentence even though it isn’t remotely appropriate. Gear and Fab were slang terms for great or wonderful.
